RESIDENTIAL projects

Under floor heating, Glenties

Under floor Heating System - Glenties, County Donegal

This house in Glenties, County Donegal had the underfloor heating installation. Each room is controlled with its own thermostat for maximum control and heat efficiency. The property is now all ready for the concrete screed.

EcoGeo Heat Pump, Portnoo

Retrofit ecoforest ecogeo heat pump using air unit, portnoo co. donegal

In this project we installed a 500 litre hot water tank and an EcoForest EcoGeo heat pump. Instead of using a ground collector, we fitted an AU12 air collector which allowed the heat pump to be inside the building, with just the air unit outside. The average running cost for this house is approx €650 per year. This includes all heating and hot water!

Ground Source Heat Pump, Cavan

Ground source propane heat pump, co. cavan

This was a unique project due to the 1-6 ecoGEO PRO output. We designed a small timber frame plant room to quietly fit at the back of the house. This contained the hot water cylinder and heat pump. The running costs of this project are amazingly low and there is no oil tank. It is located in a remote location so it is ideal for the building and system. The home owner was also awarded a SEAI grant of €6500 which kept the installation costs low.

COMMERCIAL projects

Daly's Circle K, Lifford

DALYS CIRCLE K, CASTLEFINN ROAD, LIFFORD, CO. DONEGAL

Daly's Circle K in Lifford recently installed a 78kW Solaredge PV system on their roof. The system includes a 66.6kW Solaredge inverter and 172 x 455w JA Solar panels which is reducing their electricity consumption by a third. Because the Solaredge system has optimisers on each panel it allows each panel to operate at its maximum.

Surf School, Achill Island

SURF SCHOOL, ACHILL ISLAND

This unique design required two 500 litre cylinders, with the hot water being delivered by the B1 3-12 HTR ecoGEO. 200 metre boreholes were the best solution as the school is located close to salt water. Underfloor heating was installed throughout to allow complete control and heat efficiency from the Reception.
